Keynote speakers Roger Ulrich and Clare Cooper Marcus will give lectures at Forest and Landscape this autumn/winter during the master course 'Health Design' (November-January 2012)


"It is a great pleasure for us to be able to announce that both of these keyfigures are able to participate at this year's course", states Maja Steen Møller who is course assistant on the Health Design course. Clare Cooper Marcus is Professor Emerita at the Department of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, University of California, Berkeley. She is also principal of the consulting firm Healing Landscapes and co-author of the book 'Healing Gardens', which is regarded essential literature for people interested in healing gardens, evidence-based design etc.

Roger Ulrich is Professor of Architecture at the Center for Healthcare Building Research at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden and adjunct professor of architecture at Aalborg University, Denmark. He is the author of various foundational theories within the scientific area of human health and nature relations. Research, which deserves mention, are the psycho-evolutionary ‘Affective-Aestetic Theory’ and his findings on how post-operative recovery is positively influenced when patients have view over nature from their hospital window. Ulrich is also actively designing for the health care sector all over the world.
